1.naughty
adj.(书籍、照片、词语等)不规矩的，淫猥的，下流的
熟词生义
英英释义：
You can describe books, pictures, or words, asnaughtywhen they are slightly rude or related to sex.
例句：
You know what little boys are like withnaughtywords.
你知道小男孩们说下流话是什么样子。
拓展：
这个词很早前在出过，除了naughty，同义表达还有：gross, risque, vulgar, crude, indecent等词。
美剧《公寓大楼里的谋杀案》也出现了这个表达：
✏️who turns every clue into, like, somethingnaughty.
2.at each others throats
激烈争吵；凶猛打斗
固定搭配
英英释义：
If two people or groups areat each others throats, they are quarrelling or fighting violently with each other.
例句：
The idea that Billy and I are at each othersthroats couldnt be further from the truth.
认为我和比利斗得你死我活的想法真是大错特错。
拓展：
这里再补充一个短语：stick ones throat，可以表示：使无法接受；If somethingsticks inyourthroat, you find it unacceptable.
：
What sticks in mythroatis that I wasnt able to win the trophy.
令我耿耿于怀的是自己没能获奖。
顺便拓展两个之前推文出过的关于throat的短语：
比如我在提过have a lump in the throat表示：（因情绪激动）喉咙哽塞，哽咽If you say that youhave a lump in your throat, you mean that you have a tight feeling in your throat because of a strong emotion such as sorrow or gratitude.
还有一个我在是什么意思？提过的短语：jump down my throat，表示「突然对某人发火」---Toyellatorscoldoneharshly,oftenunexpectedly.
3.falling-out
n.失和；闹翻
阅读词汇
英英释义：
A situation where people are no longer friends, because they disagree or have had an argument.
例句：
Dave and Ihad a falling-out.
戴夫和我闹翻了。
拓展：
注意这个单词用了连字符作为名词，还有一个单词是fallout，表示：余波；后果----If you refer to thefallout from something that has happened, you mean the unpleasant consequences that follow it
举个没剥皮的栗子：
Grundy lost his job in thefalloutfrom the incident.
格伦迪受该事件影响丢了工作。
此外，短语「fall out」也有「吵翻」的意思，比如来看两个之前推文出过的影视用例：
它还可以做名词，之前我在提过霉霉的一句歌词：
Miscommunicationslead to fall out
沟通不畅导致争吵不休
4.fawn
v.逢迎；巴结；讨好；拍…的马屁
阅读词汇
英英释义：
If you say that someonefawns overa powerful or rich person, you disapprove of them because they flatter that person and like to be with him or her.
例句：
Peoplefawnover you when youre famous.
你出了名，大家就会来讨好你。
拓展：
「fawn」这个单词印象中出过蛮多次了，它其实还有一个比较小众的意思：浅黄褐色，比如：a lightfawncoat 浅黄褐色大衣
它还可以表示「幼鹿」，比如：The fawnran to the top of the ridge. 小鹿跑上山脊。
我们再回到fawn表示「奉承」的意思上来，我想到很久前在出过的另一个表达：soft soap---If you soft-soap someone, youflatterthem or tell them what you think they want to hear in order to try and persuade them to do something.
我之前还在讲过短语butter up sb 讨好、巴结某人【Try to give flattery to someone for some special purpose.】
例如：
Harry is working hard tobutter upthe boss to get that promotion. The funny thing is if he worked as hard at his job as he does atbuttering uppeople, hed have a better chance to get what hes after.
哈里为了被提升，正在想方设法地对老板拍马奉承。有趣的是，要是他干活也能像他溜须拍马那样下功夫的话，他想得到提升的机会就会更多。
我们也在讲过短语apple polisher拍马屁的人【This idiom is used to describe someone who likes to boost others behaviour to gain personal benefits.】
例如：
Maryisanapplepolisher;shecanevenhandleillegaldocumentsfortheboss.
玛丽是个马屁精，她甚至可以为老板处理非法文件。
我们还在讲过单词obsequious adj.谄媚的，阿谀奉承的，奴颜婢膝的【If youdescribesomeone asobsequious, you arecriticizingthem because they are tooeagertohelporagreewith someone moreimportant than them.】
例如：
You must guard against those who fawn upon you and bowobsequiouslybefore you.
你一定要警惕那些阿谀奉承，点头哈腰的人。

Showing great happiness, love or health
例句：
The bride looked radiant.
新娘看上去满面春风。
拓展：
我真的要笑疯，Thomas真的是全剧最搞笑的人物，这里又是对Alison说的。
除此之外，radiant还有一本义，表示：adj.热量、能量等辐射的；Radiantheat or energy is sent out in the form of rays.
：
The earth would be a frozen ball if it were not for theradiantheat of the sun.
如果没有太阳辐射的热量，地球将是一个冰封的世界。
6. tizz/tizzy
n.紧张；慌张；慌乱
英英释义：
A state of nervous excitement or worry
例句：
She was in a real tizzy before the meeting.
她在会前感到心慌意乱。
拓展：
注意这里的tizz和tizzy都可以表达「紧张」的意思。
